The European & Eurasian Studies Program would like to inform you about this upcoming webinar on "Common Crisis: Fighting disinformation in the context of COVID-19: A Conversation with European Commission Vice President Věra Jourová" sponsored by the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA).

Russia and China have both launched disinformation attacks against Europe. Vice President Jourová is leading the European Commission’s response to these attacks. On June 10, the Commission adopted its communication on fighting disinformation in the context of covid-19. Later this year, the Commission will unveil a new action plan. The European Democracy Action Plan will help improve democratic resilience in Europe and address the threats of external interference in European elections ​ Join CEPA for a fireside chat with Vice President Věra Jourová. The conversation will consider how the EU is combating Russian and Chinese disinformation efforts, how the EU’s response to covid-19 has changed over the course of the pandemic, and what the EU is doing to uphold the rule of law.
