G7 – What has been achieved by the French Presidency?" With French Ambassador to the US

During his first visit to Miami, the French Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Philippe Etienne, will give a lecture on December 16 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at Books and Books Coral Gables.
During this lecture entitled "G7: « What has been achieved by the French Presidency?", the Ambassador will discuss challenges in international trade, gender inequality, environment, and protection of the oceans and biodiversity with Senior Fellow David Kramer, Director of European and International Studies.

About the Ambassador Philippe Etienne
At the time of the G7 Summit held in Biarritz last August, Mr. Philippe Etienne was in charge of the summit or “Sherpa” for the French Republic President Emmanuel Macron.
His previous posts in Moscow, Belgrade, Bucharest, Bonn, Berlin and Brussels made him an expert on the European Union and continental Europe.
He has also served as an Adviser in the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Philippe Etienne held other positions in Paris, such as Director General for International Cooperation and Development and President of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE).
About Senior Fellow David Kramer
Ambassador Etienne will meet with David J. Kramer, Senior Fellow of the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University. Kramer, who has worked at the U.S. Department of State and the German Marshall Fund, has extensive knowledge of European, Eurasian and international affairs. Previously, Kramer worked in Washington, DC for 24 years, including as Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, and was President of the NGO Freedom House.
Originally from Massachusetts, Kramer received a Master’s degree in Soviet Studies from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in Soviet Studies and Political Science from Tufts University.
