An international consensus about the need of a new sustainable economic model, where a good economy and a healthy environment are mutually beneficial, has been reached by now. A series of intergovernmental working groups and state-led initiatives already advance sustainable economies. Scandinavia is a vanguard in this respect, and has led the international community in adopting Green Economy policies. This panel, made up of Nordic governmental representatives as well as environmental experts, presents some of the ideas behind the Green Economy model, and will discuss in how far these ideas can be implemented elsewhere, including in the U.S.
Join the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs in welcoming delegations from the five Nordic countries - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden - as they discuss Nordic Green economy and sustainability. This event is part of the Ruth K. and Shepard Broad Distinguished Lecture Series.
