On the occasion of Europe Day, May 9th, the Miami-Florida European Union of Excellence is organizing different events:

- 12:00-2:00 p.m. │FIU Graham Center—GC 150 European Short Film Festival
- May 6-11
- Miami-Dade high schools Presentation of “The Importance of the European Union” to high schools students by diplomats
- May 7
- 11:00 a.m-12:30 p.m. │FIU - Honors College - DM 233 Consul's panel on European Identity and Intercultural Communication (only for Honors College Students)
- May 7
- 12:00 p.m-2:00 p.m. │FIU - Graham Center - GC 150 European Film Screening: "Europa Europa" (Polish Film)
- May 9
- 3:30-5:30 p.m. │FIU - Green Library - GL 220 European Film Screening: “Nous nous sommes tant hais” (How we hated each other) which re-enacts the birth of the European Union
- May 10
- 2:00-3:30 p.m. │FIU - MARC International Pavilion "The Italian contribution to world stability" His Excellency Claudio Bisogniero, Ambassador of Italy to the United States
- May 14
- 2:00-3:00 p.m.│FIU - Green Library - GL 220 Recognition Award Ceremony for European Studies Certificates
